Costa Rica Miel
We’re excited to be offering this new crop coffee from Costa Rica–from the Santa Elena plantation. This plantation consists of 750 acres in the Tarrazu region of Costa Rica, where “the mountains touch the clouds.” The volcanic soil in this region combines with a balance of rain and sun to provide an ideal climate for growing high grade coffee. Poro, Eucalyptus and Cypress trees provide the shade for the coffee trees and shelter to many varieties of birds and native wildlife. The coffee is a semi-washed “Miel” processed coffee. It’s flavor is characterized as: sweet, chocolate, oats, clear acidity, silky body.
